Chat-specific rules are common sense:

Rules

By joining RPDream you are stating you have read the rules and you will abide by them.

1) No spam. This includes icons and emoticons. (please dont use too often.) Also Thumbs are not allowed. (thumbs and icons have been removed from the room because some people kept breaking this rule)

2) Do not promote your room, art or website, in short; no advertising. (this includes saying hay come to my room, videos, songs, and art. if a mod says its ok to post it that one time, then you are allowed to that one time)

3) Have an issue with a member? Deal with it somewhere else. (ooc room for example which is RPDoocOfficial )

4) Post a character profile before rp-ing or chatting (see below for details) you are not allowed to talk to anyone except a moderator until you have become a member of the room.

5) Do not ask to be promoted (to sidekicks, heroes, or demi-gods). You earn this and not by nagging or bugging. you will never get to be one if you keep asking to be promoted or by pointing out every single person you help. its not about numbers of those helped, its about helpfulness and trustworthiness.

6) Do not bold and use CAPS LOCK at the same time in the room and dont use bold in excess. Note: Bold should be used for requesting a rp only.

7) Keep it clean. All and any type of cybering (sexually explicit rping) referances that are too mature is against dAmn rules and will result in a ban and a policy report to the staff. RPDream has a policy of reporting all offenders. (this means that "romance rps" should be kept PG!) kissing and hugging only!!

8) Do not request a Yaoi or Yuri rp (though you may ask for M/M or F/F), the translations can be misinterpreted or abused, if you do not understand this, tough. RPDream, and Deviantart have a zero-tolerancy on sexual activities.

9) Use brackets if you post OOC (out of character = not rp-ing). Brackets are ), }, and ]. Note; Please use the OOC room for large discussions. (if your just going to chat, or chat for more then a few minutes. discussing a rp aka setting an rp up is fine)

10) Please respect and treat each other as you'd want to be treated - this is called toleration, not personal respect. And please no excessive swearing or offensive language aimed at others. a little swearing wont be a problem but dont make it a regular habit. be keep in mind that people of all ages come to this room (this means children come here too)

11) No 'BOTS' in the room, with exception of the admins bot. Note; Machines is not a roleplay rank. if you dont know what a bot is then dont worry.

12) Have fun. and dont bring any drama into the room, settle your problems in another room, and try to keep from fighting in here.

Additional info:
Away messages-being away-idle is for if you'll be away for a short/unknown period of time (an hour at most), not if you're playing games or going out for hours at a time/sleeping. Logout if you know you'll be away for more then an hour.

Don't use offensive away messages, you'll be kicked. And please leave administrating to the staff, if you want to have a say or opinion do so without trying to cause more drama or further upset the room.

Multiple warnings will result in a kick and/or ban but do not have to take a ladder system. (2 warnings and then you will be kicked. if you have to be warned about the same problem after coming back then you will be considered for banning)some people may just be banned because of the severity of the crime against RPDream rules.

The Gods: They do exist, don't they? You'll never see them. But worship none-the-less!
The Demi-Gods: The law, and all that jazz. they're the one's who ban.
The Heroes: Prooven their abilities on the field of battle, they enforce the rules upon the chatroom.
The Sidekicks: Adopted to the side of the strong, they assist dreamers and scout the way for others.

Please fill-in all fields or it will not be approved, and make sure to add a good amount of detail.

Appearance: (What does your character look like? Hair color/length? Eye color? Build? Any distinguishing features?)

History: (What is your character's past? Please, try to avoid dead parents or burned villages.) also it would be best if you could give us a full paragraph (4+ sentences)

Personality: (Any words on what the character feels? How does s/he react emotionally to situations? How they treat people? )

Weaknesses: (What are the character's weaknesses? In a fight? In general? What can physically hurt or kill the character? Note: try to avoid "temporary" or "slightly" in describing a weakness. ALL characters have to have a reasonable weakness)

Weapon: (What does your character use in a fight? If applicable.)

Other: (Any other relevant notes? if none, ignore.)

Requested Class in Chatroom: (Based off your characters weapon, but can be preferance.) See full list here. Note: Side-kicks, Heroes, Demi-Gods and Gods are moderator positions. Do not request those.

AFTER you have posted your character:

-Contact a Sidekick or a higher privclass to be placed in a class.
-You are not limited to your posted character when rp-ing, but one character must be posted for you to become an #RPDream member.
-You may consider putting all your different characters into your own journal, for referance.
